Casey is a well established entrepreneur who has a Postgraduate Diploma and Bachelors Degree in Education. She was raised by her grandmother Vese who was her first teacher. She learned to speak and write Niue langauge from birth, and has used the values her grandmother instilled in her as a guide in all she does. She is a mother and aunty, and also sits as a founding member on the board of the Auckland Niue Rugby League Committee.
Rossina is the founder/managing director of KIQA Ltd. A graphics, marketing + photography business. Rossina brings to our Trust, knowledge, skills and a perspective that is outside the box.
Maxine is a qualified school teacher and teaches at Mangere Bridge Primary School. She has a young family who she enjoys to spend much time with. She is very connected to the community and hosts free homework clubs to help children in the community raise their standards in education.
Tapuaki holds a Degree in Education and has worked in the early childhood education for many years. She has a passion for teaching children the Niue language + culture and is a huge supported of all things Niue. She is part of the Makatugi Women's Hand Craft Group.
Vese is a well known and respected person in the Niuean + Mangere community. A pioneer in Niue language nests and early learning for young Niue children, she taught all her grandchildren the Niue language and has een a strong advocate for Niue culture here in Aotearoa.
Togiatolu is a well respected member of the Auckland community. He has served as a bishop for over 10 years and worked as a Bus driver before his retirement. He continues to volunteer his time as a school van driver and is a staunch supporter of all things Niue.
Saane is of Niuean/Tongan descent and holds a Bachelor's degree in Education. She mentor's many people in her day job and volunteers her time to coordinate our craft market which is held once a month during Spring + Summer.
Alana is a Niuean young lady who has served the Niuean community for many years. She is currently in the field of indigenous studies. Alana will be coordinating our lalaga workshop series where we offer weaving classes for the community to learn this important cultural heritage art form.
Also known as Tesa, Aurelia is a qualified chef who has worked in the industry for over 40yrs. She has helped set up many successful kitchens throughout the wider Auckland region and made the first ever Niue Pies which we launched at our first market.
She is a wife, mother and grandmother and loves to share her knowledge of traditional food making as well as modern twists she adds on many.
Makere is a Wahine Toa who is married to a Niue leader in our community. She holds a Degree in Social Services and brings with her a wealth of knowledge that is shared in the Tino Tapu programmes. She also has qualifications in beauty therapy and has created some products that are popular in our community.
Troy Jackson is a self proclaimed artist that has worked with youth for over 20years. He holds a Diploma in Fine Arts and volunteers his personal time mentoring youth in the field of Arts. Troy will over see workshops focused on youth to research pattern history to help develop a sense of identity in youth. He believes this is a critical foundation for any youth to succeed in life.
